    Wogs,

Nice sounds like things are coming along. Keep us posted on the Historic comeback. I still have the Christmas Classic in mind….I’ve been doing spinning classes at least 3 days a week and MTB’n at least 3 times a week. Most of the MTB work is on my ridgid single speed (36/18 on a 26″). Feeling less slow and fat each week. Hope to hit the practice track on the 24″ next week.

Wayne King is a tough one to forget…..funny dude. His sister Leslie also raced. Her and Anne Gnecco had a good rivalery. Both were BMX Vixens too 😯 ….

If I remeber correctly the Kings had a Construction Company or something….and Me, Wayne and Marlon were killing time between motos throwing various types of candies into the fan blade of the running engine of one of Waynes Pick-Up trucks….Good safe fun.

The Pro Section at the Xmas Classic this year in Ohio was pretty crazy. The Pros actually jumped over one of the amature berms….I thought the jumps were there for a Dirt Jumping expo or something. Made for some pretty good spectating. Made me glad I never turned pro.

    Hey Wogs,
How is the training coming along???

Cannondale has been using the Uni-Blade idea for awhile with their Lefty Forks on MTBs…seems to work fine, could never get used to looking down and only seeing one tube…

I broke my back by Mark Zalewski (My TNT teamate at the time) slipping a pedal and sticking his foot in my front wheel…….If he had clips I would probably still be racing today. So there!!!!!!!!

Vintage open does have a nice ring to it though. Cars and Motorcycles have vintage racing organizations, maybe our beloved sport can also…..build it and they will come, or something like that.

“Clips are Gay”??? Oh come now…..they are clearly a performance advantage, so it is like saying more horsepower in your car is Gay. I love them on my MTB but have not changed the BMX bike over to them yet, because like anything else they would take time to get used too, that doesn’t make them Gay. If spandex uniforms start becomming the norm, that would be Gay!!!!

Here is an idea, new class structure:

    Class BITD
No clips, 1 piece cranks, moto mags, ashtabula bars and forks

    Class 20th century
    Anything you want

    Anyone???

The beginner old man cruiser class would be great as the thought of giving racing another try (since 85) in 35 -39 Cruiser against Farside and others is not so appealing…..although with low moto counts can tracks handle another class???

and if there were enough riders to have Semi’s you could say it was a Big Weiner Class……maybe?
