Yea, we’ll call the one last night, their lucky day…’cause we weren’t there politely harassing them …hehe…
Yes, I should be able to make the 26th.
That gives me…13 days to get some stuff together.
Emails about the state meeting are going out tonight.

    Leads right….
But I think now I actually want to see when the nbl says Craig must move up. Why do they lag so? Is there a computer program in ohio or is this just someone at a desk keeping track of this?
We keep bitching about sandbagging, but yet haven’t tried to see if the nbl keeps track of this or not…
I am enthused, sorry…I mean the jokes are still funny and all..(no offense Craig) but we seem to be on to something here..

We will have 10,000 flyers come hell or high water by the end of the year.
    They will look like this.
    http://brokenspokes.net/site-images/door-hanger/race-flyer.pdf
But will have a tear off at the bottom for kids to bring to the track for their first race-practice.
Also, all 3 tracks need to figure out when to hold open houses.
That, is more important than any regional, national or state race because that is where our new base of riders will come from.

This gets more interesting the more I think about it…
This is obviously because the nbl is operating on decades old techniques to get things done.
Everyone here has been jumping on Craig’s jock about this move up thing..but now it seems by doing it “sorta” by the rules, he has uncovered a significant flaw in whatever system they use.
    I.E:
THEY CAN’T KEEP TRACK OF IT.

Getting back to the “qualified riders at the nbl grands thing”.
Dale had a good idea at CJ this past weekend.
If you want to race the grands, but aren’t “qualified”.
Then a non-qualified entry fee should be the total of “minimum qualifier” fees. I.E.:, you have to race 5 qualifiers to hit the grands, 5 x $45=$225.
    Unqualified- you pay $225
Qualified- $45..55 um, whatever the nbl is making you fork out…
That is an easy way to discourage rookies from popping in and makes the factories think twice before just dropping their fast boys in to say they “won the grands”.
And yes, I still think anyone should be able to race it.
    BUT,
when you are in charge you are supposed to listen to the majority of the people you are doing business for, and all you guys seem to bitch about this, so they should be listening. Maybe it’s something that should be brought up and voted on at CC….HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Wouldn’t it be easy for the nbl to do a poll or something?

Ya know it is sorta strange though that you have to race, what 9 or 10 locals to qualify for the regional championship…but nothing for the grands….

    THAT is an interesting post.
Makes ya wonder about the nbl….and whether they encourage it or not….
or are just too lost to even be able to figure it out…

Harry Meyers was to North Jersey BMX what the Zueners were to South Jersey.

    Too true, too true.
Erick, Jenny is sometimes on VintageBMX, I tried to get her to do some talking at one point, maybe you could get ahold of her since you knew the Zeuners.
I have to call Harry again, everything he gave me was verbal and I couldn’t get half the stuff he told me down, lol.
I gotta see if I can do voice recording on my phone to transcribe it….

    Chainheads….I like that, that’s f-ing original!
Erick the only way for things to get better in racing is if guys like yourself step up and get things going again. That’s what Cave and the rest of us are starting to do here in NJ.
