I wish we had some riders with ‘tude to stir things up… closest I get is some parent ripping into junior ’cause he got passed in the turn…when the parent has NEVER been on a bike.

lol, Mad Dog was probably pissing off the guys in charge, ’cause he was changing BMX racing to a more realistic way of being.
Which seems to have worn off, ’cause we are in the age of disco slippers and paved turns.
Which is why we need the freestyle guys back to stir shit up!

No, I’ve definately seen bad attitudes in action at races, when parents flip out on their kids ’cause they get passed or don’t win…
    Peer attitudes are another story.

Maybe we should do one every year and dedicate it to a rider.
The 2006 “Kevin Anderson Pro-Am” Series.

I think this is an excellent idea and one that never took off in NJ. We have a few guys who could ride in that class and it would be a good thing to generate interest.
Another thing is to get the local papers involved.
Forget asking them to come out.
You have to write up a story, get some good photos and send it to their sports editor, that way there is no expense on their part.
    Basically we need contributors.
I think at the next open state meeting, the topic of a pro-am series piggybacked on the state races should be broached.

I noticed that you made qualifing easier this year too Janeen,
I’ll be sure to put the hardcore press on all riders, so they know what they need to race the championship.
As ya know Janeen, some things have to be said…persistantly… 😉

If a rider is qualified to race the Championship, but is unable to, they must notify the State Clerk within 7 days of the Championship. They will then be given the last place ranking in his/her class, and will be qualified for the President’s Cup.

Riders and/or their parents are wholly responsible for knowing how many races their rider has raced towards the Championship. The board will not be responsible for notifying riders of race shortages.

Bad attitudes will always be around… but you will notice those that stay in it for the long haul, usually don’t suffer from that problem.
Haven’t found a bad “tude yet at Incline or any of the tracks…
Well, except for a few parents, but I NEVER hold that against the kids.

So everything is cool and calm staying at Jeff’s place…not quite..
We decide to go hit up a movie and the teenage hormones got racing again…
The guys pick up some ladies at the movies and we take them back to their house…
Well, it seems that we were followed their by some “jealous” boyfriends who promptly took to accosting our Suburban…
Jeff “Stuntdriver” Mayer once again took care of the situation and high tailed it out of there with…can you believe a couple of IROC’s chasing us…
Man… it wasn’t easy finding time to relax on the road..
All in all though Florida was a fun place to go and we hit Disney like 3 times on the company tab and had a blast. Our next stop was in VA where calamity would strike…
