Rollers are great for winter tranning, but make sure you DO NOT BOUNCE while riding them as this can hurt your back. Spin smooth, and accellerate while making good circles. See you at the fall classic.

P.S. do not change your gear, it wont help.

Hold on, Caveman, did you say that you think that NJBMX paid for six people to go to Vegas for that congress party thing? Wow, put me on the board. And you wonder why you have no PA system.

For the record,1;I take no pleasure in the fact that it has come to this.2; I still, and always have loved BMX. 3;even though I am focused on road cycling I will ALWAYS be a BMXER at heart. It was after all BMX that made me the cyclest I am today. 4; the comments I made at the begining of the year were out of anger. I in no way wanted to insult anyone,or step on any toes. That being said, now any help I can provide would be my pleasure. Seeing BMX grow would be great. Who knows mabey I will race 25 nationals again. Lastly,Brett, your right Warnickie would never have put up with this. Had he ben here it never would have come to this. That man was a real leader. Who knows where we would be today?

Good luck at the grands everbody

The ICA was a sanction that was formed back in 1992 or 93, I dont really remember. It was cutting edge thinking in those days. The program was way different than the aba and the nbl. On the pro side, each pro did a time trial, one lap of the track, best time won. Each pro was introduced, sponsors named. It was cool. The purses were also big. I think the pro dug it. The other thing was the format of the race. Normally the race starts and they run through all the classes. ICA had time slots for all the classes. Like experts ran from 9 till 10. Then girls from 10 till 11, cruiser 11 till 12 etc. It was cool, you knew what time to be there, and it was run quick. I dont remember if the mains were run together or not. Also the awards were cool , placques and a guy was there and ingraved your name on it. It only lasted like 3 natinoals, dont know what happend.

Brett, I really dont think NBL will fight anything. They dont have the recources, people, time, or wherewithall to do anything. Right now they have many other prolbems that need attention. I still dont know if going ABA will work, mabey it will. I aggree that massive change is nessary, and if done right, everbody will benifit. Fifteen years ago a new sancition was formed,ICA,and that did not fly. At the time,it was a great idea. The program was cool, and the one race I went to was great. Mabey that is the way to go,I dont know.

One other thing, I dont think the NBL cares about the local tracks. If a track is lost to the ABA,or just shuts down,it means nothing to them. NBL from a busniess standpoint does not understand why its bad. No clue. Undrestand that NBL is a mom and pop shop at best,at best. This is not a corporation with vision. If it was, things would have improved like ten years ago. The time to improve and progress BMX was twenty years ago. The ball was rolling, now the same pepole who did nothing then are still there and doing nothing. How on earth can you get through to these people. I am not sure you can.

I have to say that reading all of this stuff is interesting. I love to see people who care try to make a difference. Brett, Dale, Bill, everybody. Its cool. I dont know however what can be done. BMX is a mess right now, both at the nationals, and localy. Going ABA,I dont know, this is always been NBL land. Staying NBL,I dont know,That company is a mess. I am not sure witch one is worse. One thing is true, in 2008 China is having the most important race in history, that alone should make BMX huge. Huge on every leval. I wish I could really explain how bad the NBL really is. My corporation /family has ben giving grant money for 15 years. I dont remember how much, but something like 75000 to 100000 dollars for all kinds of projects. Grass roots, pro purses, track rebuilds, everthing. I think my dad gave personal money to the pro class to pay the guys who did not make it out of the semi one year. Believe me I am glad to help,I want to help, but it did nothing. To this day I have never seen a picture of one of the tracks we have helped. Not one. At the national in Egg Harbor Bob asked for another grant for something I dont remember what. I said OK let me know I will have the money,30000 dollars. I have not recieved a thing, nothing. How can you help a company that cant help itself? I wish I had the answers,I dont. Hopefully change can happen.

    Good luck Brett
