Ant — if your issue is bashing clips without ever having tried them, consider this: rather than putting youself in harm’s way, you could simply choose not to offer any opinion on clips. It’s not worth jeoparizing your safety just so you can back up an opinion.

This is not the same as trying a threadless headset or carbon forks. Listen to what people have said here and think this one thru.

The NBL site shows 386 NJ racers in 2006 and 268 so far in 2007. Of course, these are active riders so the numbers don’t include those that have a license but aren’t racing. Interesting to compare to NY which had 1125 races in 2006 and 336 so far in 2007.

EDIT… meant to say NY had 1125 “racers” not races.

The Feb/March issue of BMX World ran an article called “Gearheads” that told what the pros run. According to the article, DR runs 50-18 gearing and 170mm cranks.

The registration form in BMX Today says $35 pre and $40 post. Not sure whether you can still pre-reg.

There is no online pre-reg for Regionals, only Nationals. Like Brett said, click on “Information” to the right of the National event and there will be a link to online registration for that event.

EDIT: I just looked and the pre-reg links don’t seem to be working for the races this weekend. It may be that online pre-reg is closed at this point. Upcoming Nationals have “TBA” where the “Information” link would be. Guessing that the Info link and pre-reg links will be active for these as we get closer to the races.

I would say that is 1980 Rich.

That’s right Craig, June, 1980! By the way, I may not look 44 but I sure feel 44 after a weekend of BMX racing.

Here’s the NJ statute that sets out the requirements for naming a NJ nonprofit. According to the statute, using the words “a New Jersey nonprofit corporation” in the name is just one of the options…

    TITLE 15A, CORPORATIONS, NONPROFIT
    CHAPTER 2. FORMATION OF CORPORATION

§ 15A:2-2. Corporate name of domestic or foreign corporation

    a. The corporate name of a domestic corporation or of a foreign corporation authorized to transact business in this State:

    (4) Shall contain one of the following: “a New Jersey nonprofit corporation,” “incorporated,” “corporation,” “inc.,” or “corp.” unless it is a corporation which could organize pursuant to the provisions of Title 16 of the Revised Statutes.
