I will verify with Matt tomorrow, but as far as I know Friday night yes.

Tidey, FWIW, Colin turned Novice last week at Flemington. I had told him it was up to him if he wanted to move up voluntarily. He gave the go ahead on the way to the track. As luck would have it, he ended up racing his younger brother (6 Novice) and an 8 expert (he finished 2nd).

Its the best we could do. If you are coming Friday, you have a bit more of a problem, if your coming Saturday, just park at the track and then head over to the camping area after the race. I dont have a camper (working on that!), so I dont know how much is involved in moving. The camping area is a flat paved parking lot if that helps any.

Craig, my kids are running 41-16 gears-they are 6 and 8. Colin (8) can pull 42-16 at HC, but he says he likes the 41. The 8 year old is on 150mm cranks, I just ordered a set of 140’s for the 6yr old to try out. Dotek cranks are only like $30 from Dan’s or J&R. They were both on 155’s until a few weeks ago. I am certainly no expert at this either, alot of it has been other people’s advice and some research and alot of trial and error! If you bring him out to HC he can certainly try out my kids bikes. Kyle has a mini, Colin has an expert which he is finally growing into. Both Haros, FWIW.

Tidey…not your fault. When the gate drops the BS stops. Unfortunately, I stopped too!

Proposed ammendment 1: All tracks(NJ first, obviously) shall have lanes clearly painted on starting hills. 😡 Dont ask me why this is important!

We all had a great time. I got POed, yelled, apologized, got POed, missed gates, protested and generally had horrible results, but you know what…I had a great time, the track was excellent, the people were great. Thanks to all who made it a great event.

BTW, Craig hitting the motorhome had to be the highlight!

in reply to: 2006 State Awards #30899

Last year was my (and family’s) first state awards, but we all had a blast at the Incline. I thought the hoodies were great. The 3 racers in my family all bought jerseys even though we had no intention of going to the Presidents cup. We try to wear them whenever we go to a non state race since we are not on any team. Overall, I thought it was all good.

Speaking of the Presidents Cup, the only suggestion I would have would be a bit more cooperation/organization among NJ racers that are going to the race. I havent been to one, but it seems like everyone just goes on their own and sees who shows up. Even a simple contact list of whos going might be good. May even encourage people to go. Sort of like a team! I think as a state, we are small enough that we could/should all work together as a family.
