i remember that track … back in 02 we did a few races in cedar and then it was going to open up we planned on going twice when we were at my dads place in the poconos but our plans fell thru due to rain both those weekends. i was wondering if that track was stil running- i remember kevin leaving cedar to get it up and going and i kept wishng it was closer to the del water gap like maybe shawnee area?? hmmmm?

glad to hear its making a comeback. have to come up and check it out again!!

if your kids plan on using the facilites there ( skate park or dirt jumps) its like $35-45/day for a wrist band so be prepared to spend big time..my son always wants to skate board but by the time the race ends and you go over its open till dark i think – they may put lights on for awhile i dont remember. i usualy tell him he can pick one of the 2 days to to the skatepark- its too expensive…the go carts are $5 a pop(four like 5-7 mins) and i think the pool is free…i dont remember anyone swimming last yr the yr before they did. we brought our camper listen to janeen…its a HAUL from camping or parking to the track so dont plan on shleping ANYTHNING thats not on wheels…its all uphill from the track back to your camp/car.bring lots of locks and just lock your chairs/tools whatever you can to your ez up down at the track area…. there is a section for large motor homes, reg campers and tent camping is off the side… cabins are expensive but if you get a group of folks you can live with for the weekend who get along( consider if you want your kids up all night or sleeping at a decent hr) they can be cheaper.

my son loves it there but he wasnt too impressed with the track.you would think woodward would be top notch… jumps were so so… he said that the surface was really rough last yr not smooth and the turns werent smooth either. i think we are just spoiled here in jersey!! haha.

did you file a dispute w/ebay for non payment? usually a “reminder to pay” email from ebay will do the trick. good luck.

cool..what is that stuff anyway? whatever it is it works wonders.. all the tracks should be stocked with it esp for nationals/ regionals incase of rain.

    thanks for the update!!

if anyone speaks to someone at the track can you update us here? hate to travel down for nothing if they will postpone practice/ pre race till tomorrow ( sat). the surface was so smooth last week i cant see them risking that letting people ride on it wet/ muddy.

    thanks!!

    good for you!

too bad most of us stayed silent back in the day when our little guys were nov. if the kid is taking 1sts in the fla nats im sure he didnt “just turn up” into expert. the gator national is not a little race from what i understand plus all the fla riders there….

like i said good for you..glad to hear some parents do the right thing. a few yrs back we found a kid in my sons group at the grands who was almost 2 yrs older than everyone else( aba rider) well a california parent knew him(from aba) and reported him to bt and guess what?? they made him race in his own age but they didnt take any points away- he raced out of class from pittsburg to ky national(at least 3 nationals) 2 yrs younger.. “oh it must have been a typo in the birthday on the pre registration sheet” what did the kid/parents forget how old he was? how can you not correct this?

    good for you!

not meant to criticise just a complaint from someone ( my son) who misses it SO BAD he wanted to watch all the mains… start to finish… unfortuantely we had to leave for a wedding and didnt see the last few mains.. he was going through bmx withdrawl big time….haha maybe 3 more weeks and he will be back. ithink he will try to convince the orthopedic surgeon to include sprints in the physical therapy… ( dont think he will go for it..lol)

congrats on a great race we only could watch sat but what a turnout!! the weather was great and track looked awesome!

i guess it depends on whether there is a “history” with this person ( people) ie whether there have been prior complaints at other tracks or is he just singling out eht in particular?

a couple of years back they did have a family banned or suspended from racing in nj.. i would ask jm about it he seems to know alot about history and whats been done with “difficult” parents in the past.

if the guy has so many gripes, hates the volunteers, tds, as well as the nbl i have to wonder why in the world he is involving or encouraging his child to race in the first place? im sure little league could use another psycho parent….lol

ok maybe because it happened so fast i didnt see the leash… but let me say now that i have seen that particular dog at the track many times and have not witnessed any agressive behavior before BUT out of the 10 times i have seen him, 9 of them he was NOT on a leash. i also overheard the owner of the larger dog immediatly state it was provoked as the puppy was coming too close. if your dog is not “social” and cant be trusted in situations where there are other dogs then leave them home.

and as for me “going off” on the leash issue and bringing dogs to the track… a few years ago the family in the ez up next to us at south park had a dog and their “puppy” bit the face of a 3 yr old that was venturing too close to the dogs bowl…. so call me oversensitive but let the dog owners be more responsible.

i did witness another dog off leash about 5-6 ft in front of his owner when we were walking out to our car in the parking lot so dont say all the dogs were on leashes . i am usually not hesitant to approach a dog but let me tell you i thought twice after seeing that.

why are they in such a hurry to run the mains on saturday? i remember when they only had one main at a time and they announced the kids names( at least the last ones and their states) so you at least could watch the whole race. as it was you were watching the finish of one moto by the time you looked up the next one was on the track into the 2nd st raight already… as a spectator that stinks esp with all the riders on new teams / jerseys its hard enough to figure out who is who nowadays… just my com plaint as a spectator. i can see sunday running them alittle faster as people want to hit the road but its only like 3:00 and they ran them like it was going to pour any minute…haha. does anyone know what the big hurry was?

you are prob right. one of the first things he asked in recovery was when can i ride?? once its in your blood theres nothing stopping them. im not so worried about the racing its the crashing that may not be good for healing… and he just joined the ranks in the 16x class… thats a given..haha good luck to everybody this weekend!!

shhhhhhhhhhhh pullleeze! i am hiding the bike as we speak. just cause you toss the crutches dosnt mean you can ride no less race. he’s hoping to be back for the end of may….i say thats being a little optomistic at best. he has already tried to pedal on the mtb( higher seat= less knee bend)without much success. he is a psycho.. lets see how he feels a few days off the pain meds… the pt had him on a bike today but thats a bit different than jumping for sure!

hey bill…. i havent camped on the ground since i was 20 something… no offense but the aero bed gets my vote…30/40 or 50 something dosnt matter your back will thank you… best investment i ever made was to get a twin and a queen size blow up mattress… alot warmer too!

forcast for sat is sunny/ 63-64 in eht.. wow what a beautiful day for racing! maybe see you all down there if dan is up for the drive down. he gets his stitches out on fri so we will see how he feels end of the week. he is dying to get on the bike but i dont think its possible to pedal w/crutches..haha

tidey- hope your pooch is ok they are def part of the family!

camping at eht track is the best! plus if the ice cream place is open you can just walk down the road and get some 😆 i am a camper fan but the cot/ blow up mattress is def the way to go for us over 40 crowd folks if you are in a tent!! if you have the early practice its great…just not having to get up an extra hr and drive to the track/ park /unload is worth it!! now if i can just learn how to drive the truck w/the camper on it!!! haha
