i wish i could be at the meeting this sat but its a no go… i didnt mean to scream at you guys but brett youknow what i am talkingabout. ( nervana?? what are you smoking anyway?? lol)

anyway…can the person who has all the info and knowlege on the foundation donation go to the meeting to clarify what is needed? how about someone who is going to call the pres or treasurer of njbmx and see what they found out that they need( before the meeting) so whoever is the expert that is going can just bring it?

our school booster meetings usually they usually have an issue that needs further explaination..one of the coaches or parent team liasons gets that info by the next meeting then they bring whatever necessary paperwork and submit several copies to the board…then the board reviews it and a vote is taken… seems simple to me… i cant fully comment on what is needed from njbmx for them to give the okeedokie as i wasnt there but i am just offering my observations from our board meetings and how they ask for items that teams need. if its money donated or asking for specific things… we had a bout 4000 donation specifically earmarked for wrestling that was funneled thru the athletic booster club.. they take the money and put in the acct… when the item that is needed to be purchased ( such as a wrestling mat) that money is used 1st then the booster goes to its general acct and uses that next..

i would think that njbmx would do the same. if a 5000 amt is donated to just say promotion..then when promotion items need to be spent they use that money 1st( earmarked specifically for that) till its gone. there is no money left to claim as profit i would think they would spend it all.

maybe they think they have to claim as income and show interest earned?? i dont have a clue as i suck at financial things. this is just the way i see the schools run their booster club. they have over 75thousand in their acct…they also have 4-5 cd’s that earn interest…they are non profit also and spend thousands on the sports programs of the hs…if their was something wrong with accepting grants ( they do accept donations for sports scholarships every yr) they would be hesitant.

i know it has to be frustrating for rich esp he only wants to help out but i hope this dosnt discourage him…

sorry for the blast but i didnt ahve my coffee..and for the uci i dont agree what they do but it is promotion and any is better than nothing…

im sure les will tone it down or when they start riding it the lips usually round out.. if you dont like it get a shovel and meet whoever is in charge and make a suggestion to improve it…

when did you go and were there any racers riding there? what were the little guys doing on those jumps? ( they should be able to manuver over it somehow??)

i hope you are exaggerating… or maybe once ppl start riding it will “tone down a bit”? did you get any pics?

i was all for changes at eht but hopefully not to the extreme you are describing. the moto counts are low enough without scaring the new/younger riders away….

you mean like eht has the track in a sports complex? also like binghamton with their town pool and skatepark and track all in one place?

seems like building near pre existing sports facilities would be a good draw but then again look at the probs eht has with parking and scheduling during baseball season.

pros and cons but at least ideas are flowing

would love to see the 2 sanctions in a locked room until a compromise is reached….as long as it takes …lol

brett can you explain how the gleasons ran dual sanction? i got that from the dvd they ran aba races on one day and nbl races on another. is dual sanction considered the same race accepting both nbl and aba licences on registration? why not? if its an insurance thing what is the difference betw both policies?

can you post in a nutshell the diff with the 2 sanctions running races( not points but the actual behind the scenes?

back when jeff morgan did the clash race with flemington and bensalem we had to have both a nbl and aba licence and when you raced at flem it was nbl rules and bensalem it was aba rules ( points/ moto group etc)

it sounds like in order to merge one side has to concede to the other or adopt a “new” system which not to sound pessimistic i honestly dont see either one budging.

can you somehow do a poll nation-wide to see how many riders would be interested in this “merged system?” like someone said the numbers may shake some up and if a total rider poll was taken nationall and sent to the 2 heads of each sanction it may open some eyes?

sounds too simple but maybe i am missing something?

maybe bmxmania website /who supports both sanctions can do a poll for like 30 days to give everyone a chance to vote?? just a suggestion.

Heat for the month around 2,500.00-5,000.00. Dome price depending who you talked to around 50,000.00. But it might have been only rented from the golf course. I can tell you if it was a money maker it would still be running today. So I would have to say it lost or broke even if all the bills were paid. The reginal was a big boost to the track. If not for the race it would have lost many more $$$$$$ Todd and Kevin took the chance on something we all only talk about but they are business men and business was not that good. We should be lucky we had it for one year. It was a fun time and helped all of us racers around here. So RIP Baystate BMX.

dont know about the cost of one but i do know the guy who ran the one in mass told my husb when we went there a few yrs ago that it cost him about $5000 /month for the heating bill. i believe it only ran races sat/sun.

i will ask about it on the nebmx news site there are plenty of people who were involved with that track there.

i love the indoor idea as long as you dont put it in

if you want to know about it asap why not just email the state points keeper person? is janneen doing tht again this yr?( dont know how the elextions turned out as i couldnt go to the meeting) i wuold think the points person knows when she is switching over to the new system.
