if they have a paper in registration it wouldnt be hard to just write down the names of anyone who fills out a pink sheet ( new rider not renewal) and hand the list to the announcer during the parade lap this way when they are done he will have the list to add to whatever announcements he has and do the “welcome new riders to eht or wherever”…. i like the idea and i think it tells everyone else to keep an eye out for them if they need help like at the moto board.. whatever… if the announcer had the paper with the new riders na mes AND moto # on there THAT would be key… this way when the moto comes up ( he can put a little star next to their name on the moto sheet…or something like that) he can say ,…oh look heres josh so and so and his first race today… welcome and what a great “slingshot” he has…. lol….
just a thought..
def take the seat down to the lowest spot so his feet are flat on the ground. if you have the training wheels that go off center raise them both up a smidge( only a smidge) then raise it little by little till he isnt using them much at all.
balance plays a big part. if he isnt using his legs much (not much gross motor/outside playtime) and sits around playing video games it will take a bit longer.
make sure its small enough( i hate when parents want the kid to “grow into the bike”) dont be a cheapo- get him a bike that fits then deal with the growth spurts later.
my son is the master training wheel remover in our neighborhood. he did some little guys and spends like a few days with them and they are off in no time. i know you wont like to hear this but getting a younger kid/ teenager to do it/ someone he looks up to is better than mom or dad. its a fact unfortunately they want to please strangers more than you..lol when the kid gets off the training wheels he makes h im a number plate for the bike in whatever number they want… kind of like a reward.
on the other hand when we were in fla he tried with my nephew who is NEVER outside doing anything physical and has shit balance (except for his game-boy muscles) he couldnt even ride with the training wheels…so it really depends on the kid too.. he was in 2nd grade and only rode the bike maybe 5 times with the tr wheels on about a yr ago..
good luck..and dont worry it will happen. just dont put pressure on him.. if you want to speak to danny at flemington he can give you some of his top secret pointers if you like….lol

how was the new track for its first race last sunday? are they racing this sunday too?
it has usb port i just hook it up to the pc and voila!! i have so much in there now(its a sony 60g hd… takes better still shots than my olympus reg cam..).i like that it takes it and records by date..this way when iforget what the hell i taped that day i can look back on my calander and figure it out
the only down side is i dont know how to burn it onto a dvd i got the new burner and the software is diff to understand. there is a quick/one touch dvd burn doc that came with it bu t that is for dvds to viewing on the pc not on your tv dvd ( supposedly accd to the instructions..) like i said i did photo cds off it they came out great. i took pics from dans wrestling t eams season and gave the cd to the guy who did the end of season highlights it came out nice and not dark either…
as far as the vids go whatever you need let me know i can bring my usb cable and transfer it to you right after the race if you want.

yes the only thing missing is the “parent mute button” chris..lol i agree…
there is a mic attachment that you can buy it sticks out the front it only allows sound from straight ahead of you( like a concert) that would work…lolcan someone post the team finishes i see someone posted there were 9 teams total that put sheets in.

i have a new hd vid cam also..i(just learning)if you want i can tape some and you can download it right to your laptop after the race( did you already say that?? haha) use what you want… just tell me where to go… i mean stand…lol
