he got firsts in his motos but hit the gate in 1/8’s(had trouble with the gate timing) and went from last out of the gate to 4th in 1st turn to last again in turn 2(tried to pass again but got swooped) but fought hard back to 5th at the line.. he had the rhythm dialed nicely so that helped him alot with picking them off in the last straight..it was real deep and lippy not flowing at all from what all the other riders were saying…

the gate cadence was not normal there was a pause where there normally isnt one and i guess he just didnt jive with that….

njbmx has no room for that sort of racial bs..

airport…please ignore any comments that seem to be biased or racially charged. i cant for the life of me think of where that came from.

a track in no jersey is obviously needed….

on a lighter note i met a family at a local car show tonight whos little one( about 5 yrs old) was riding around on a 16″ bmx bike with a hand written ababmx numberplate on it…whoa…small world, they just moved to the area from utah and the boy has just started racing about a month ago. i gave them all the njbmx info so if you meet this new fam from utah please make them feel welcome here in “JOISEY”!!!

bill… mindy made the main i think i heard her name announced…the cruisers were really hard to follow as they jumped around alot.

i got some of the mains taped..19 over women ( bill you can have a copy if you want) 15-16 boys a few others from today cant remember exactly they went really fast…

brett i have all the jr men/women/elite men semis from yesterday and mains if you want to use for promo vid or whatever… someone was bi*chen in the stands behind me you can hear it..lol

frank young fell in the 1st turn so he didnt make it, jeremy looked good in motos but didnt get out of 1/8’s( his 1/4 would have been all top usa riders unfortunately also)

yest they had the elite races on televised LIVE way to go canada… all on the jumbo tron screen it was awesome…plus it is going to be on tv this sat at 1pm( all pro motos etc) what a great job promo they did everywhere you go is a POSTER on the event and they sold tickets at several venues in town too.

yes a disapointing day for us for sure. dan was having trouble with the gate all morning.. kept timing it wrong( has a pause where normally there isnt one and the lights not in sync or something) anyway he would come out 4th or worse and pick them off on the last straight( he had the rhythm dialed pretty good) got all 1st at the line that way but in the 1/8s he was 4th into the 1st turn after hitting the gate and then went outside on the 2nd turn went into last then tried but not good enough… passed 3 in the last straight but only good enough for 5th…

kelty got 6th, there were 3 other usa riders in 17-24men also..

yes the frenchman did a little moon for us..haha got d/q’s and billy got the 2nd. plus i think he cut over on him in the start which is a no no on the hill. you cant block on the last straight either which is weird..

off to watch the pros..sorry bill i didnt see mindy yest they mixed up the order for the races and it was hard to follow your own moto as they had maybe 20 mins in betw rounds thats it!!!

bill is correct. we didnt get tshirts or hats as in years past( at least the last time we went) was told that the extra “support staff” such as medical and volunteers( who are not paid so go figure) anyway jackie and frank young had a limited amt of tshirts made so some of us got them. i could prob make a million if i had some american flags to sell thats for sure. you cant get anything but canada stuff here. we were the only ones ( thanks to big dan) who brought a flag to put up on the stand area. we wanted to get a pic of team usa and they said they would take one sometime this weekend… but we didnt want to depend on them so yesterday we had them make several announcements and voila… team usa pic about 200 in the stands. hope to have them up on photobucket this evening. there is a teenager with a laptop she and i will meet later to download what i have for all to enjoy and take what you like…

today the little guys raced( under 14) and every moto had at least 2 usa riders it was awesome. we are looking real good…. keep your fingers crossed…

got the number plates last night so thats good.

hubby went salmon fishing today ( had to let him have some fun..lol) when we went to the track. its nice about 75-80. i can honestly say the opening ceremonies were disapointing. they only allowed 2 riders from ea c ountry and honestly our presidents cup parade of states was more organized imo. they played some music ( sounded like island music) and in 15 mins it was over. not very impressive.

the people here are very nice i can honestly say. very friendly and helpful. riders on bikes everywhere you go. dan got lost a few times but its easy to find your way back ( follow the water)

barret jackson is here on his yacht for an antique car ( pre 50’s deuce coupe) show on sunday…all i can say is WOW! maybe get some pics of that tonight.

tomorrow is d-day keep your fingers crossed for our riders…

the pro section still looks lke it needs work. dan said the surface is not great lots of ruts and the rhythm is too deep in the last straight . that seems to be the biggest complaint so far.

yes flemington and bensalem did a clash of the titans race about 4-5 yrs ago. it was neat we didnt do any aba before that year and it allowed our state team at the time to go get a free trial/ 1st aba race free. most of these turned into full conversions as well. we needed a place for my son to find more riders in his age/prof and they had a few which was great for him at the time.

when it was at flem it was nbl rules and aba was aba rules. it was a no brainer.

the nbl gave all aba riders who wanted to race michigan championship a free 1 yr membership( to try to get the max qualified i assume) its a great idea hopefully the aba reciprocates as well.

i thnk that hcbmx used to be a member of the chamber of commerce in that area, participated in the flemington parades etc… which i thought was a good start to being a legit entity in the area. more exposure was the plan of the day ..now it seems that being quiet and no one will notice is the order of the day…

camping was always an issue esp after the regional way back when.

dont know what the answer is maybe having friends in high places would help… sandy bevins was always chummy with somoene in the county i dont know what happened to the relationship we had with that certain person.

as many can see after last weekend the track has great potential.hopefully it continues to grow with new people coming into the sport.

from what i understand what was told to me the county is just dying to take that property back for some reason thats why we have to be careful. not attract attn unfortunately means no promotion … like an oxymoron to me

you would need to speak to matt about that he is the one with all the explainations of why we cant do this or that as he deals with the county officials on a regular basis as i was told on saturday. apparently fighting city hall will bring more bad than good in that area. this is what i was told. i have no comment either way on this.(for now) dan would have been there doing the same thing if the track had 5 motos or 50 it dosnt matter to him. it needed work and they( he and gary) just offered to help out. do i think it can be bigger and better- yes. it was years ago.

i disagreed with the thinking of “starting a new” but when i think about it maybe it was for selfish reasons because we have a history with the track. after this past weekend i am rethinking all of this. its hard to throw away 13 yrs. the ppl who are just starting out need to get involved, bottom line. being happy staying under the radar isnt in my blood.
