if he is rescheduling its not considerd a bailout… there is nothing you can do about the uci schedule… may have something to do with him falling in canada and prob cant use that race points wise so now he has to do another one…crap happens…hes a pro its his job… but he is not in the habit of disapointing kids… he does TONs of clinics each year im sure they will have it rescheduled asap.

just trying to get an overall HONEST poll of what riders actually eat. its one thing to say oh i eat this and that but what do you ACTUALLY consume during a race… i was suprised to see the crap that went in these riders mouths… some were serious and had thier concoctions all mixed up ( secret formula i assume) and others were just sucking down fruit and water melon and gateraide… i have heard that whole grain crackers w/peanut butter but i cant imagine eating that high fat of a snack before a moto… i know dan cant stand anything in his stom that is heavy betw motos… i saw some on the skittles diet as well..lol

its the what do you eat the morning of a race which i was curious about. i used to watch larry devries eat his moms pancake and bacon breakfast and get out there and kill it…. bitd. so i guess to each his own but its interesting to see what the routines are… dan has his own and he is quite picky so there is nothing normal there…lol

oh i saw a kid eating pickles all day..i guess for na replenishment with all that sweating… go figure!

you can check at the track also. i know flemington has numbers for new sign ups ( not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for) if you race there you can always ask at registration they are the appropriate size to fit on almost any plate.

i wondered who was running the gate on sat and sunday. was it locals or the nbl “national staff” i do know some regular corner marshalls/ volunteers who have officially worked nationals who asked to help out at the national and were told the nbl had their “regulars” there that were told they wouldnt be needed.

like i said the nbl was also trying to “move things along” at the trumbul race as well.

here is another good example.. in the main my son ran off the track and when he came back in at the last turn was bumped by another rider and his chain came off, he fell and so goes that… anyway after the race he had little or no time to get his chain back on and get back up for the open main… class was main 306, open was 330. should have been plenty of time….but it wasnt when you run 2 mains at a time on the track.

this is not sour grapes just trying to raise the awareness of officials. if you dont race 2 classes you prob arent affected by this. if you do you know exactly what i was talking about. i dont know if anyone did class cruiser and open but i seriuosly doubt it.

changing the 3 motos to 2 gets folks out in plenty of time to travel on a sunday…whats next 1 lap no crap for sundays?? just wait and see…

can anyone say if the aba is the same? i know they run their practice as no nonsence and they stick to the schedule but do they rush thru motos as well? just curious. we have never done aba nationals.

i agree most of the time the men/boys cant take the girls beating them but with a helmet on who can tell who is who??? lol just race if you get beat just train and get better. shouldnt matter what your gender….

shouldnt be a double standard i agree…if we had a local fast female racer who smoked these guys maybe that would light a spark under some of them to get out there and race more or at least try harder… ya never know.

the way our culture is your damed if you do your damed if you dont. if a boy beats the girl its no biggy shes just a girl. but let him take 2nd to her and boy he will hear about it… its not right but its our culture.

same thing with wrestling when we used to see a girl beating a boy… oh brother you can watch the dad lace into the poor kid after the match but if he beats her oh no big deal your opponent was a girl big deal… dosnt count as a win … go figure!

most of the girls i have spoken to dont mind racing the boys but then again this was rookies or girls who were just starting out.( a win that way is much sweeter though…lol)

i am sorry in all my ranting i forgot to thank the knappers and all the other ppl who helped out with the national and all its “extras”…. they offered for the racers and families… the chinese auction( sorry if its not pc) was my personal favorite from the baskets to the 50/50 winnings total…i didnt win 😥 i was really impressed how they sold so many tickets ( i know the secret but my lips are sealed…lol) that guy was top notch..to the other events for the riders after the race and the extra cash for the opens..the prizes for the younger open riders were awesome as well..that takes alot of work and seeing all the riders there from as far as fla is proof of its success…

the only one who has the answer is the nbl.

maybe a few hundred phone calls would open some eyes in ohio. i was also told that when we were in trumbul they were telling the officials to “get it moving”( hand signals like lets get going) why??? my friend who was the referee there sais he ignored that request.( or pretended that his mic wasnt working…lol) good thing.

i thougt it was just me but i dont agree with the 2 moto ” buy 3 get 2 sunday race” if they are in such a hurry to get it over with then dont volunteer, just stay home. im sure someone else would be happy to help.

the other thing is it cant be good for the tracks. how did concession sell any food for lunch when the campers were pulling out at 10:30 am on a sunday?

not good for the local tracks at all. it cant be.

    thats what i meant.

they dont know the ppl on this site are joking… for newbies esp those trying to get a track going in that area… just dosnt seem like a welcoming comment.
