We are going but just becuase its an indoor track. The past few years the track design sucked. How ever there usually is good comp and its jan what other track besides the south is racing? If you wanna race its really the only option, for us its only 3hrs and thats from eht.

Victor gets 99% paid for. I found out today that he only gets 15 national weekends paid for for both bikes, so thats a total of 30 races.
I know some people are going to have mixed feelings about this and it is sort of off topic but here it goes. I beleive that one of the real reasons why we no longer see full factory riders receiving 100% paid everything is becuase of sponsorhouse.com. Yes its nice to get exposer and let the sponsors know who you are and that you are out there BUT, here is an example of 3 riders going for the same sponsor.
Victor at the time was 12x 5 time state champ, 5 time N.e regional champ and 5 time top 10 national rider.
Me at the time was 21 nov.
and a freind who is 21 rookie.
we all applied for the same sponsor just to see what would happen and we all received the same deal. The thing is, is that no body gets shot down on sponsorhouse. Anybody no matter how good or even just starting out will get atleast 3 out of the 5 sponsors that they may apply for. With this going on the companies out there dont feel the need to fully take on any riders. Now it seems no matter where you go everyone has sponsors, so no body really looks up to those who have worked very hard in getting the main one they have.

Really 100% full factory means your 16 & up and are also pro. The only way for a rider to except money is to be 16. I beleive the aba has rules about there factory teams.

Dave i dont even wanna sell it. I dunno what it is about the frame but its awsome. I just cant trun up a free avent neo frame. There not even out yet. Anyway id rather just get rid of it and see it go to someone that would be able to use it so it doesnt sit in my shed.

I know there is only a few riders on felt that actually get a factory deal. Yes they do give frames and parts but I heard they have to really get on em in order to get there race fees paid up.
Victors new deal goes like this.
Full gear, full cruiser and 20″. Advertising pic in a upcomming nbl bt, Nationals paid for, and if and or when he turns 16 he would get paid for these such main finishes. 1st $200,2nd $175, 3rd $150, 4th-6th $100, and 7th or 8th $50.
Currently he is not going to get traveling and hotel stay covered, but they told me that if he starts doing aba than thye might be able to work out traveling and what not for the aba nationals.

I remember back a few years ago for one year nj did pay for your hotel/jersey and entry fee. I noticed a decent amount of sponsors on the jerseys. If you dont mind me asking does anyone know what it takes to be on the jersey as a sponsor. I am just woundering becuase that is always beeing brought up by the state about how much they cost. Back at the beggining of the year I wanted to look into beeing a sponsor and I was shot down.
Anyway after going to this race for like 6 yrs in a row now we look forward to this race more than any other race. Even though NJ never really supports each other at this race you still feel the excitment of all the other teams and a constant cheer from all over the arena. I would like to thank the matos family for their constant cheer and letting everyone in the hole area that there was a nj rider on the track through out the entire 3 day event.
It was a long weekend so I dont really remember everyones finishes. It was written down but its now lost. sorry
    victor got:
    pres.
    20″
    1,1,1 QT 1 semi, 3rd 4th in main
    24″
    1,1,1 4th in semi 6th in main
    I got
    4,4,4, 6th in semi
    day 1
    20″
    1,1,1 2nd qt 3rd semi and 5th in main
    24″
    1,1,2 and 5th in semi
    I got
    2,2,6 and 3rd in main
    shan swenson got
    1,1,1 1st in main

    day 2
    20
    1,1,2 2 in qt 5th in semi
    24
    3,2,2 5th in semi
    I got
    3,4,4 4th in main
    shan
    1,1,1, 1st in main.

Even though victor wasnt able to hold it up in the main events everyone was still really proud of him and avent showed they had his back by offering him a full factory offer for the 2008-2009 seasons. Many people got to see his ne avent tr7 frame which will not even be available for another few weeks and everyone had comments. Only one other rider has one that races the nbl and thats their factory aba rider who races nbl and aba.
Dave im sorry it looks like im ditching my s-n-m .38 special. They offered me a big bro discount on the frame and I can’t turn it down. Looks like im going back to alum.

I know at many events when things didnt go upshaws way he acted out in the wrong way. I saw the move that put him over the burm, many people will have mixed feelings about it. Personally its racing and the pro section went right into the turn. He had the out side stumpy had the inside and held on as much as he could which led to upshaw over the turn. With upshaw just landing that kuwahra (I think thats how you spell it) factory deal and just going elite, flipping out would be the worse thing for his career. After all im sure at one time he looked up to stumpy, maybe still does.

i still remember the CT national a few years back when you busted up your knee. You were like a straight ahead and you threw down a big one footed table over what was probably the smallest double on the east coast.
