i’m working tomorow so i couldn’t race if i wanted to— i hate work– i really do
man!!! i step away for a couple of days and this thread is on fire—

so what does mr. best 17+ rookie do after this season? retire while at the top of his game?
if i could just find a way to tow the bmx bike behind the harley i would be fine with gas this year—
nah– i don’t ever pay attention to gas prices– out of my hands so why get bent outa shape over it

really– why bother– is it just me?– but i would take an 8th in an expert main over a first in rookie any day of the week–
yep– i grew up in one of the neighborhoods outside of the dustbowl, so i spent lots of time there– good times– some of the names that stand out are norfleet, pogi, and eric plumb–

lead— search around for some new construction– ask the drivers iof they can dump some dirt at your house– the dirt is usually free– but they want some cash to drop it off
in today’s society people have to be really carefull when it comes to being sued— but i’ll talk about that in another forum–( i finally have something for the rants and raves section!!!!)
but i could be down with a money trails race— $15 to enter– $10 goes to the pot and $5 goes to the owners of the trails– the owners can do whatever they want with it…. birgers and sodas, a keg, or just put it in thier bank–lets face it– whoever coined the phrase “dirt cheap” never actually had multiple truckloads of it dropped off at thier house

you guys laugh– but when psykopath sent me my stuff, they sent me a dvd with it– and guess what there was alot of on there?– you got it…. back yard races. some were pretty hard core like the two man trails race at stumpy’s house– and others were as simple as a small oval with a small dub in each straight, one guy at a time, lowest time takes the pot.
this isn’t really such a far fetced idea
i had mentioned an open series earlier and someone said that egg harbor was going to have an open series this year– but i never heard any more of it
andy w/ chip and dale is great– i only wish that he was located closer to me , then i would use him all the time– lets face it– a bmx exclusive bike shop?—- has to be in it for love and not money
i have been spending some time in my local bike shops– neither shop is really too interested in bmx anymore but i’m trying– i have mixed results in both shops– pedelar’s shop doesn’t know much, but seems open to ideas and sells SE, and has not only me, but Todd Lyons in his ear all the time… the other shop, Action Wheels, used to have a strong bmx team, and a couple of people from the team are actually the owners now, but they are pretty uninterested in bmx… they will sit there and chat with me about the old days for a while because we know some of the same people from the team, but that’s about all they are into.
both shops know that when i come in and ask for something that i already have an idea of what it costs. i usually pay about the same as i would from dans, but like someone else said — they wont support BMX unless BMX supports them..
long story short– just keep buyiong from the lbs and try to get everyone around you to do the same— stay in thier ear as much as possible… it will take a while , but we may be able to get bike shops back on board
ABA teamed up with the AMA and were handing out pamphlets and such at supercross races–
pure brilliance– what were kids trying to simulate in the begining?–dirtbikes– apeal to them the same way now–
all they need to do is start having some races between supercross motos– which could happen in jersey– either englishtown or atco– just need and in— maybe even at the bridgeport raceway (circle track cars) sawe that they were doing this in some other states on the infield
my best guess is he is refering to the comunity service crew that you can usually find out there on the weekend mornings–
i could be wrong though
