A big local scene is all that is needed. Period. NJ had some biggest tracks back in the day, because they were run by business people. Braddock, had bragging rights, as to fighting out with Orange Y in Cali, for the biggest moto count every weekend. How big was big, 60 to 65 motos on a Friday night, think about that, more than the recent Ironman had, a race that used to be like 120 motos.
Why? Alll because of the local scene. Nothing to do with Nats.

I had a cool idea that would make everyone happy with pro series, ams and pro. Run the pros seperate, let them do their thing, and have their series. At the same time, and at the same races, have some of the older expert class winners race the the winning pro in like a trophy dash, poit that series, and give it a name, with it’s own prize seperate from the pro class!!!!!

I told Brett, that it seems like the board are happy with the current status, that being that Janeen basically runs everything, I do not know her qualifications, but I can tell you I would not let her run my lemonade stand. I think some of the tracks aren’t putting out flyers or getting the word out, Why? don’t know. I do know Rob Vargo at Cedar BMX (ABA) has been putting flyers out everywhere, and it shows, he has been bringing up his counts. Remember these tracks are businesses, if you provide a good product, good staffing, and the people have fun half or your marketing will be word of mouth. Unfortunately the business end is lost on some. And for those that think this was a shot at the whole non-profit thing, WRONG, still needs to make money to sustain

Yes, I’m moving to PA, albeit just across the river, but across the river, these people have been in power sooooooooooo long they will not go peacefully, and will turn this into a he said she said deal, Janeen tried with the one thread, but it was all in print written words don’t lie, and yelling won’t occur in a siuation if you control it.
