i would leave that up to him personally…its more of a privacy issue and if he or his wife want to share thats up to them.

im sure he would appreciate a “hi how are ya” just the same…

hopefully he will be sitting and relaxing and enjoying the race weekend.

    wow that is amazing…

just look for instance at a state like ct who boasts one of the highest recruitment of new riders each year( gets the award at competition congress every year) they dropped by 400…so i t must be across the board..

would need to see month to month comparason like somoene said..aug compared to august…apples to apples…

do you have the aba equivalent of the same info?

so loren what is your suggestion on the gun issue? i am not totally on one side or the other… both have valid points… but just how innocent would i have been if i shot and killed my neighbor? what about the peeping tom pervert?

maybe if they would have passed that lock law many yrs ago it would have helped ease off on the gun issues.. they had a few decent ideas so the owner would only be allowed to discharge the gun( some sort of lock i forget exactly what) also making it a little harder to get one would help. maybe making the waiting period longer say a month to do proper backroud checks… who knows…

but i dont think they make a lock for the other issue( although maybe they should) but mandatory castration for repeat sex offenders is always an option and should be considered. i dont think there is such a thing as a one time offender so this option would work.

on the topic of guns..coming from a hunting household( not me but my hubby) i used to think oh we need them for protection… until my drunk next door neighbor ( a good hearted soul who has since moved away..lol) came stumbling in my house at around 2 am about a week after we first moved in… let me tell you i had that 38 special ready to go…( yea i am a good shot if i do say so myself… we used to go shooting at rays all the time before we got married) untill i saw him… he thought he was in his own house..lol well at the time it wasnt funny but can you see how this could have been a problem?? well long story short he did it a few times before he moved away (once around the holidays and knocked my christmas tree over) then we started locking the front door…

forgot where i was going with this>>? moral of the story dont let your wife play with guns..??

then theres always the peeping tom story… oh thats when having a gun comes in handy… imagine my husband chasing some guy wearing a trenchcoat into the woods in the snow at 3am with a hunting rifle..( dont ask what he was wearing).oh yea we had some interesting times when we first moved in… i guess guns are good..

he was out in michigan for the race but i think they released him from the hosp only for the weekend. i havent heard if he went back in but he is not feeling good at all. please keep him in your prayers. we spent sat with the behms and i hope he takes care of himself and they find out exactly what is wrong. its hard for him to get around and his energy level is next to nothing.

dosnt one of his sons post here? cj i think? i dont have his email maybe somoene can ask him to post an update if they have his address.

hmmmm so what i am thinking is they are planning on building ( or are in the process of) 3 duplicate olympic tracks for just say how many riders from the usa will be sent to china? is it 4 men and 3 women? for 7 usa riders… i MUST have missed something….i hope they are near wherever they live….

why is the aba / nbl building these… usac should be building these if possible and make them exact replicas not “similar” i heard that whoever build the olympic track isnot giving out the entire track specs only certain areas….( i forget his name)

if they are building it for china worlds then even more rediculous as i dont think many will be traveling to china( not as many as going to canada) and they didnt build replicas of canada track/// so whats the point of building all these dup tracks for a few??

dont we have an olympic training center anyway? is there a track there?

can anyone explain this? when we were in fla they said THEY were building a worlds/ olympic track to practice on too… geesh!

thats one of the rules i did hear the officials talk about at the riders meeting. no c utting over right off the gate… the bleachers were full of riders and parents so i know alot of people heard that rule . i for one didnt see alot of cutting over but then again we were on the opposite side of the track and my eyesight what it is…well ??

i guess when they have all these plates ( i didnt even know you got a #1 plate for this event as it is a qualifier) you can choose when and where you use it? like chocolate and vanilla?

it was a nice event the facility was top notch the food was great ( and very reasonably priced) on a lighter side..parking was convenient and tent space along with camping areas were plenty…

like i said i would have liked to see the rules given out ahead of time instead of 10 mins before the start. maybe the ones that cut over didnt go to the meeting or know about it?

i have to say that i had an issue i had to deal with while i was there and consulted the tedescos about it and got alot of help with it. the track people who were in chage were also very helpful in assisting with resolving the problem. i was very impressed ( it takes a lot to impress me ya know)

my intention was not to bash anyone…just point out that the rules were not clear from the beginning and they waited too long to let us know about them.

obviously many riders wanted to do this race or there would have been no motos….

the kids/ younger riders dont even think about the number plate thing$$$ each and every rider has his /her own reasons for wanting to go and race. once you go to the worlds its an experience that will stick with you and for some is worth trying to repeat…..

everyone has their own opinion but those who do go and qualify will represent this country well… and the jersey boys/girls will be no different( yea jeremy is officiallly a jersey boy now!!)
