i think the hyper pro am series is doing just that. they are keeping the older riders involved in the state series. my son hasnt made it a point to “do as many state races as he can” in the past 5 yrs because there are the same 2-3 kids in his class… they loose interest without the challenge. now with the pro-am open series( thanks hyper) he looks foward to it. its not the $$ its the challenge of chasing down the pros and racing faster guys..
the resurgence of the state teams and all that healthy competition betw them has also sparked some to race more so this yr. its fun for them and the younger riders really get into the team thing( which keeps them going for next yr when the decision is made to race or play bseball) of course they would rather race mom/dad!!!! just ask them!
i think the state series is on a come back but we need more things like the pro-am and the promotion of the team series to keep the momentum going.
oh and yes you do get a free nj state jersey but only if you represent the state at the presidents cup in ohio.(you have to race it) years ago when we had an influx of riders they always got extras so if riders wanted to purchase them after the fact they could. there were also years where they said no you HAD to do the pres cup to get a jersey ( like a privledge) so i dont know what the current thinking is. im sure if you put a deposit they can order one just ask whoever is in charge, i like the idea of the more jerseys out there the more promo for nj!!

howel is a good example of ppl working together.not just 1 or 2 its everyone stepping up…
btw the new bike shop is amazing. i couldnt get my kid out of there…( thanks alot scotty….lol)

he seems to have a def opinion on fords and my husb is a ford fanatic(yes he can and does get over 200 k miles out of a gas engine ford truck) so we banter about it but ihave to admit my mustang was FAST… boy i wish i had that car nowadays…

anyway my mustang would kick your chevy’s a** any day of the week. i wish i could find a pic of it ( did they even make cameras back then??) it wasnt too pretty but fast as all get out. it was kind of a mustard yellow 71 mach 1 and i think it had the flintstone back seat( the one where you dont step down or your foot goes thru…lol)
when i was in school in sc i got stopped routinely(for no good reason) by the good ole boys with joisey plates are you kidding??
where you have to go see the “sheriff” whos office ( town hall) is in the police station which is in the back of the brew thru gas station get your lottery tickets and whatever moonshine you want- kind of place…
yea my dad wasnt too happy about me taking that car to college…lol

ant what about a spot on this side for pics all in one place? ( sorry if there is one already) but whatever is easier for brett( i am non techy have to send him everything..lol) maybe a “racing pics and video section” separately or together. you have topost the date or place as the subject then the pic/video? i have to learn how to use something other than youtube as i tried to post the elite open with jumbotron intro( it came out REALLY COOL) and it said it was too long or too big?… too long? the race is only like 39 secs..go figure.
