i think we had a regional a few yrs back it was a matter of getting a camping permit from the county just for the weekend. we also had to get board of health cert/permit to serve food as well. didnt seem like a prob back then i think the mom who ran concession did some schmoozing(sandy bevins) and we were in!!!

i am sure you saw how the county is encroaching the track…seems like every time we go there is another new constructed building closer and closer to the track. they have all this land and they have to build right next door??

next week on sat sounds like a plan…bring your shovels!!!

dave did you guys get any equip out there today? i didnt think the track was that bad considering all the drainage issues… we need a week of sun and no rain it will be good to go…the last straight stayed in great shape much better than in recent years… lucky for the mild winter!!

having a fun AND challenging track sounds like a great idea.. remember when they had the decision maker pro section? we used to have pro/ams w/ 2- racks of riders weekly a while back… would love to see that again…maybe pro jumps on one side and a “gentler side” is a good idea?? like the good old days??

holy crap i didnt even read it…just glanced over it quickly… wow!

when my son first started racing in 95 they were wooden ones( with several spindles) that were huge just for a local..now i know some of the older kids gave back their older trophies and let the little guys ( rookies) pick what thy wanted… we did that a few yrs ago also… recycling old big trophies is a great idea really gets the younger set pumped up esp when they get to pick…i think the one he got was an aba trophy and he raced at flem that day…to this day( and he is 16) that is one of his favorites as it was his first and he always says its a keeper for that reason..

i dont know how expensive they are nowadays but if each track had a “giveback” day race and used recycled ones may save some money and make a lot of little ones happy in the process.

in those side hack races what happened when you lost your teamate? did you still get first if only 1 crossed the finishline?

wow those races looked cool. i love the starting hill and the running to push the bike in uphill spots…..

the trophies werent too shabby either.. ( didnt look plastic)

no expresso for me bill…btw i had a cup at some cava something or other cafe down in ac this past weekend that ws out of this world… with tons of whiped cream and some caramel topping,,,,made starbucks/ dd taste like crap…unbelievable…

im hooked! maybe thats why i have no patience i am going thru caffeine withdrawl this morning!

treasurer? haha you are sooo funny..if you saw my checkbook you would laugh.. no… i have only held an official/ non official “fill in medic” position at the track , also have been called the 50/50 lady but never treasurer… although i did write the checks from our team checkbook years ago to pay for the entries for state series.. but if you asked my son about my math abilities he would laugh very loudly( yea i am from the count on your fingers school of thought)

would be happy to pick any riders off the track and put them back together again if bill needs help with that. just get me enough bandaids/gauze pads and tape for when caveman races….

everyone seems to be working on making things better for this season so why come on and seem to single out one person in particular. seems that way to me maybe i am missing somethng again??

approx 3-4 weeks left to opening day in jersey…

i think brett should have it mandatory for posters to show identity somehow… either viewing or posting…
