can somene explain what is going to happen with the rodeo on sunday? what is the time frame, when does it start( does it start right after the race?) how many kids are participating, what exactly do they do? is this the first one cj is hosting? is it done thru a school or particular area/ pack/ den
sounds like a great idea….

bmxmom156Memberhey bill…. zip it !!( oh i had to say that…lol) im entitled to my opinion based on observations from selling many many frames to many many riders over the years…
opinion is also based on observations from watching my son go thru many frames from mini/ jr/ jr xl/ expert/pro thruout the years and honestly we have not had any transition issues as many other parents have had with making the move up from one frame size to another…
bill when you go thru this with your child/ rider then YOU can have an objective opinion on this subject. this is a very common prob when kids move up..parents buy this frame then that one the kid dosnt try it first they spend all this money on a new bike setup and the kid hates it..
trying to keep it similar to the old set up if they like it is key… if not then try something new.
dan has loved his rk since he started on the small expert/jr lx( or whatever you want to call it) and didnt have any transition issues. i have been told by alot of parents the geometry of the new bike is very hard to get used to(based on rider complaints) when they make a switch.
i was just offering an opinion, mr bill, which i think last i looked i am allowed to have soooooooo…….. —
mac…i suggest he try a few bikes and see waht feels right to him. buy what fits him now not what he will grow into (if he is having a growth spurt)

ne rk distributorbmxmom156Memberrk pro is nice. let him try dannys on sunday if you plan on racing at howell. smooth transition from expert esp with the short back end.
bmxmom156Memberi agree the older riders should step it up and get some work done… did they make an announcement that all this was going to happen on sunday? i didnt know what was happening till i saw vinny driving the cart w/materials in it( i may have missed it my hearing is going..lol)
just a side note there were a few riders who were working flemingtons track the day before from the 15-16- 17-24x class from 9 amd till after 5 ( dirt delivery) on their own so maybe they didnt stay due to sheer exhaustion…
cj is lucky to have such dedicated parents who show up …getting stuff done for the regional… kudos to them…!!!
bmxmom156Memberi think dan beat phil once( way back) when phil was like 8 ( was prob his first race…lol)…i have a pic with him wearing his cjbmx state team jersey… have to dig that one up…i think it may have been called “beacon central” bitd..there was a beacon south back then too when state team racing was BIG…
phil will take it all caveman is correct on that one…
