hey i say we have a team pit bike race…i dont know how we can do it but maybe at a reg race ( racing class ,open and pit bike would be too much for a state race) a local at one of the tracks…. flemington is downhill so i put forth a challenge for all the teams. send 1 rider in on a pit bike for the team…have an open any age dosnt matter..i bet we get semis maybe 1/4’s

oh and none of those “cheater pit bikes”…. 16” frames, forks and wheels only…( more of the garage sale bike variety type)

if every team sends a rider maybe it would give the teams a chance to earn like maybe an extra 50 points or something ( help with catch up points)

yes bill has a big mouth ( i couldnt resist) but i always say i would rather have someone who you know what they are about ( what you see is what you get)..rather than someone who hides behind annonomous posts…

maybe when the regionals are run by the local tracks they can decide to change or tweak the sunday schedule… i know its a little last minute but i dont see anyone having a complaint about starting a couple of hrs later to get the kids some practice or sleep in time whichever they prefer… the nbl has nothing to do with the running of that weekend so why not? if lisa wants to sell some more taylor ham and eggs to the moms and dads and jr wants to get some practice time in why not? i dont see any negative about it….. its not like ppl will be in a hurry to leave no one is going to come to howell for a regional from ohio or tennessee??

can anyone find a neg to this scenerio?

comp congress is not till next yr we are talking about 2 weeks from now. what a pain to have to drive an hr to race and be done in an hr( and not get any practice to boot…) you barely have time to get the crap out of the car and set up your chairs and its over..i say take your time relax let the riders enjoy the new track for a change..

but what the hell do i know im only a mom i dont race… Hmmm

on the subj of eht double race be thankful they added it in. most folks are complaining when the tracks DONT race…. just cant make everyone happy….

we have not done a regional yet this yr so yes cj will be our first…

i have heard a few flem locals were tearing it up… transue just moved up to expert and was pulling 2nds in mains..go get em gary!!

wondered how everyone else did, esp since i heard it was the first larger race for this md track… yea regionals do help smaller tracks get up on their feet in case you were wondering…

can they start later on sunday and maybe let the riders get some practice/ warm up time in…like say 8-9 and start at 10?? ppl will be there anyway for the 8am start so its not like they will miss anything with the time change.. i spoke to lisa about this once before ..it was so nice with the pottstown state race starting later on a sunday… relaxed, no rush, get your breakfast in, practice, yada yada then race..whats the rush to get the whole race done by 10 am if we start by 8?

concession will make more $$ also if they get a chance to sell breakfast a little longer…

any thoughts?

i will speak to dan when he gets home from sat testing ..i m sure he will be up for it. sounds like fun..

one thing we did at our bike safety day here at school was they had a helmet check station where the kids brought their helmets and were fitted correctly…most kids wear them hanging off the back of the head or the straps are hanging loose.. our bike shop donated a bunch of helmets and the kids put their names in a hat for raffle for a new helmet(they were the protecs so they were cool ones) just a suggestion..parents can be taught here also how to adjust straps which can be a pain.
