    NJ BMX Inc.

NJ BMX Inc. would like to respectfully submit a request to the The Tina and Richard V Carolan Foundation Inc. for the amount of $5,000 dollars to be used for the purpose of equipment, promotional and award material. Our organization works closely with the youth of New Jersey through our BMX racing program.

The grant shall be used in the following areas to enhance our program:

*$1,400.00 for a portable public address system to be used during our state races and other large races and events we hold throughout the year.

*$***.00 for promotional material consisting of store posters, flyers, and bicycle hangers, to be used to draw more people to our program.

*$****.00 to be used for trophies, jackets and gear bags for our state awards program.
(Please see the enclosed cost estimates from the companies we will be dealing with.)

As stated above the money will be used to enhance and promote our state program with the hope of attracting more people to racing BMX in NJ.

NJ BMX Inc. was founded in 1981 to foster the promotion and growth of BMX racing in New Jersey through the cooperation of BMX tracks in the state. Our organization uses all money generated by the program to further enhance BMX racing in NJ.

NJ BMX looks forward to working with The Tina and Richard V Carolan Foundation Inc. to foster BMX racing in the Garden State.

I believe once you form a non-profit (or for profit) organization to have the track then lease the land to that organization, the organization then becomes liable for any liabilities. That sounds wierd….

Carol leases the land to us for CJ, (it’s a killer 1 dollar a year). We are insured through a local agency, I can give you their phone number if you like, I believe the owner is an ex racer.

In FACT, that insurance agency is THE reason CJ reopened.

Rich, I always see you with a cap on. I don’t see a need for rollers if you’re just gonna flatten your hair anyway.
    Maybe those guys are right.

piscataway is north central NJ, what Ant is talking about is near 287.

BMX racing will be an EASIER sell once the olympics comes about.

Scooter, talk to Rich he was tight in with the guys who started the original Vineland track in NJ in the 70’s.

The most important part in this is persistance and professionalism.

The facts are that we are acquiring the money for
    a pa system
    promotional material
    and the state awards….

now if they want to use THEIR money that should NOW be left over to revamp track equipment so be it.

Cooler heads must be prevail, this is not Rich alone, nor Bill alone, or Farside alone, or myself alone.
This is a group of INTELLIGENT, headstrong, MEN, who KNOW what to do.
What you heard there is the last gasps of the death throes of the old eht days.

Do not give up, it is either the right way (ours), or the destruction of NJ BMX throught their own hands.
