Rod, I’m running all cro-mo frames now (supercross), I might go back to alum, remember one of the first bike used in parks was a PK ripper, all alum, or the Numora, again all alum. Its not what the bikes are made of but I think some see being clipped in as intimidating, that has screwed up things

Leet me ask you this, how can you earmark money for awards, when the series hasn’t started and you don’t know how many you will need, but you can go to a printer and get an estimate on what the promo goods cost and you know you need say 2000 pieces and it will cost you X amount

OK so what happened to the promotional items, to be used to generate new riders, so that you WOULD have the money for the awards plus some. I guess it was good I didn’t waste my time going, becase I see no want for new riders from NJBMX.

Logiacally, think of the grant as investment capital, then you take that money and invest it in growing the sport so you make more noney, to pay for the awards, and more, and next year you still have the riders putting money into the program, and you don’t need the infusion of money again from Rich. You have now become solvent on your own.

toward the end of the 90’s, BMX was starting to get huge again, however the popularity of clips grew, and many new riders looked at this as an unnatural act and probally did scare many new riders. YES I have been using them, however, as a trails guy, clips suck!!!!! I would welcome them being abolished!!!!!! Many of the older pros would like them banned as well. Will they probably not. Remember, you are not clipped in on a motocross bike

When the gate drops that is 30seconds of BMX, what about all the other things that go into it, that get you there. If you don’t have them, you don’t have the 30 seconds

Loren what you want is what I would say all of us want, but some have made this a them against us thing, and seeing how the counts have gone the last year, sooner or later you have to make a choice. Do you want it to continue like this, or give YOUR absolute best effort, and make a change for the better, for just not your kids, but all of the riders present, and future. Because without the future, this present will be meaningless

But as a friend of mine once told me while he was remodeling his old house, “Bill this ting is so broken, it needs to be completely torn down”, he did it, wrecked the thing, and guess what, once the debris was removed, and the new house built, it was much better. Time to start rebuilding
