Got the call two hours ago not to report Monday. The hard part for me to understand, is that with my job, I am on call 24/7, and should something happedn like on Memorial ay weekend or even last night, till 10:30, I* have to work the job till we open the road, Regardless. Memeorial day weekend was 37 hours STRAIGHT to get 1&9 open
The polititians, they just go home, and they WANTED this job, went through everything to get elected. Then with there pension they get and lifetime benefits, they want me who has to do 25 years to give up 15%. These guys are unbelievable.
The real culprits, are us the voters for not getting rid of some of these clowns, and having the perks they do for what they seem to take as a part time job.

HEy Mac, how can you offend anyone if that happened to you, you just spoke the Truth.
Heres one last year the state series was set up, then what races counted changed!
    Then how many was changed.
Then whoever came up with the deal chages the points cap or says that they forgot to correct it for the different amount of races
It be nice if all this was hatched out prior
Oh yeah the excuse, this was their first year. I’d buy that if it was their first year of BMX, but it wasn’t. How does this look to new perspective riders.
As too why I didn’t go to the finals last year. Well I didn’t wanna find out if there was some twist at the end

No offense taken. my point is that we need to show case the best, make the kids have heros and get them involved. The TV viewing audience doesn’t want to watch the 6 rookie class, even if it IS the FUTURE of the sport. With TV coverage and exposure, and bringing the Pros into a level where they at least feel like pros, and don’t work a part time or full time job plus have to race. As ar as clips, well if people wanna talk about skills, through em in the garbage!!!!

Craig, the part about how it would hurt the sport, you hit it, that’s what would be said. The truth of the matter, is it would hurt their pockets!!! Think about how many beg, rookie, nov and what ever classes are there, thats bucks for the association!!! Every rider is a dollar sign. And the way they market it WE ALL KEEP following the travelling circus
Now, if they did make it more like supercross, that would cut down attendance at the Nats, so where would the money come from? No where, unless the sport is marketed, to get BIG CORPORATE SPONSORS. That would be harder than the taveling ATM machines they have created. Think about it, it really is a decent business the way it is run, and they don’t have to get any huge amounts of sponsorship money to keep them going. Just wave those plates in front of people like bait, and watch em come!!!!

Exactly, you don’t have beginners classes at supercross, nor do beginner motox kids race a supercross track. We need events that showcase the best of the sport, and give the new riders something to shoot for.
No class other than X or pro at a nat
No Nat plates for and but those classes
    No every weekend

He’s right, but unfortunately as we speak, and we are not pros, just riders that have been around and want to see the glory days of old return (the 80’s), no one wants to listen. There are alot of top guys with brains in this sport, unfortunately the oganizers look at them like kids riding bikes, rather than adults. Watch Transit 5 with the Jason Richardson interview, heres a guy who has been around, highly educated, articulate, and yet no sanction would probably take any of his advice or any of the other top guys.
What is needed? Some money and a whole new sanction, that takes alot of the positive things that can be done wirh the sport and showcases them.
THE OLYMPICS, the hell with them, baseball is not in the olympics, and yet it is our biggest youth sport. Curlng is in the Olympics, no anyone that curls?
Bottom line, worry about BMX, not the Olympics, which got horrible ratings, to make ourselves legit

WOW, as a kid racing. I had one person that I looked up to. My first rreal race bike was GT, an identical replica of the one from the Pontiac Silverdome race, right down to the chrome zap pads. Reading different interviews he did about training and mental preparation didn’t only carry through racing, but life. Thanks Greg, it’s cool to have you on the site

What the HECK. It started out about chest protectors, aren’t those pointy things that Maddona wore on stage a few years ago, they lloked good on her!!! What has the sport come too, chest protectors, clips!!! I don’t know. I hear about the skill level going up, but people need pedals that keep them from slipping pedals. Yeah I tried them, butI have too many mirrors in my house to keep using them. As far as Jess and Romero, my money is on Jess throwin a beat down on Romero. everybody shut up and go ride, with out the clips of coarse!!!
