Half the guys in rad were Orange locals. But I didnt get a chance to be in it as I was in the Navy. but it was cool to see locals on the big screen. I saw RAD in the theater and loved it.
I can still remember the intro and wanting to go buy a freestyle bike. I was torn between the lavender and aqua redlines or a green master. But I recovered. I cant remember if I bought my Profile crusier before or after the movie. But the movie was fun, showed real BMX uniforms. Had Lori Lauighlin. Had My Favorite Martian. Had Olympian Bart Conner.
I cant think of any BMX movie that featured racing as well.
Ive seen “Loser Takes ALL” and “BMX Bandits” both were very cool. But RAD has to be the best BMX movie ever.I wrote a movie about BMX racing. Its BMX racing meets Jerry Bruckheimer. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000988/ No goofy Rad stuff in it. Not that Ill try to get it made but hey it was fun creating it.
