Oh, one more thing, in the Almighty ABA there is sandbagging. BLASPHMOUS, I know. When all three motos dont count toward getting to the main you have riders not trying in the first and/or second moto. Isn’t this the very definition of sandbagging? NOT WINNING ON PURPOSE? this goes on all the time. The NBL is not the devil. FIX WHAT’S WRONG.

Please, enough with the grass is greener syndrome. I agree with brett that bmx is suffering from the same thing as other sports.(re:soccermom syndrome). The answer isn’t the ABA. Believe me there is plenty of the same problems there. I believe that the answer is to solve the problems. I am tired of all this ABA crap. If you all think the ABA is the answer why did Bensalem only have 5 motos last week? Where were all of you? I figured that with all of the pro ABA sentiment around here I would see 30 motos. But did I? NO! Oh, I get it the ABA is not the answer, ABA in New Jersey is. Oh wait didn’t there used to be one? Oh yeah, IT SHUT DOWN! Solve the problems that are important – rider count, rider count, rider count. Next person that posts about how the ABA is sooo much better, I better see at Bensalem instead of CJBMX. Or how about their race on fridays. There is no conflict there. Don’t worry, I won’t hold my breath.

This is a great idea and anyone who has been to torrington can attest to its sucess. My 12 yo novice(expert as of next week) has had semis at a local race there. However, this is done at the track level and not the state level. I think that it will work but I also think that the flyers need to be for specific tracks. If there is too much on them then it will be confusing to both the parent and the kid. I have posted in the past that most promotion needs to be at the track level with the “state” lending ideas and such. Also it would be a dismal failure (re: the same attempt was made by Bensalem ABA track) if only the closest schools were to be flyered up. Schools farther out need to be hit and hit often. Maybe multiple open houses at the same track and try with one track first as a guinnea pig then the idea can be tweaked if there were any weaknesses. Bensalem tried this and it failed because while they are only 5 minutes from north east philadelphia they did not go there. no more than 1000. they also only did it once. This idea seems to be one that needs time to develope. If you send one flyer, you may get a few responses but if you inundate the schools multiple times them the kids see the sport more often and maybe more will come. ( on the first time johnny goes and has a great time then when it comes again he remembers and tells his friends to go)

OH NO!! you mean my son might have to actually race to be eligible for the race of champions? 😆 Seriously, we race ABA all the time along with NBL and they both have their points. I think that the bottom line is that the more options that you give, the better.

Brett great idea, but please not too far north. If it comes through, the other aba tracks have a yearly comp. each track gets a team together and races at all the tracks, the winning track gets bragging rights and a trophy.

Please drop it. That is the second backhanded remark aimed at me. I will not respond to that, except to say that we NEVER make tuesday races as it conflicts with practice at Bensalem, which is 20 min away as opposed to egg harbor being 1 1/2 hours.

Yeah, we are going. I think a few other racers are going also. If anyone shows up look for the young cmr racers and come on over everyone is welcome. I think we are going to bbq.

HOLY S**T, baby killers? Germany didnt do anything to us in either world war. Hey for that matter the spanish didnt do anything ……. Hey I dont think the Confederacy ever did either. Where would we be w/o the military. This country that you enjoy was built on the fact that we have a kick-ass military.
