I have 2 parents from the team asking me what the situation is. I hope to find out within a few hours.

If you are gonna choose one, you should not only look at the rider’s abillities, but also how they interact with other riders. (ie sportsmanship etc) Does this rider show up at the track every weekend ready to race? I got a few people i can think of.
BIll Iam so gonna come up their one sat. Maybe i can get some the south jersey boy’s to ride up with me. Hey I got room.

There are some guys who want to do both, but from what i heard some guys did not want to race the open because they had to race class. And a rule change would make it work, but will they changethe rule is the question.

To be honest my first real race bike was my amtrac. At the age of 34. Why do say this one? because it was the type of bike I wanted to build as kid, but did not have the money.
It is kind of unfair to the am’s. The Pro’s are rested while the am’s have to bust thier butt’s to race class. Granted some can do both but what about those that can’t.
Deb I raced a 30 and over open at shoreham bmx and did not have to race class.
It has something to do with getting riders qualified for the president’s cup. I may be wrong. so do not quote me. Part of the problem is low moto counts. the open and class are usually real close so you do not get a chance to catch your breath.
