maybe if they would have passed that lock law many yrs ago it would have helped ease off on the gun issues.. they had a few decent ideas so the owner would only be allowed to discharge the gun( some sort of lock i forget exactly what) also making it a little harder to get one would help. maybe making the waiting period longer say a month to do proper backroud checks… who knows…
but i dont think they make a lock for the other issue( although maybe they should) but mandatory castration for repeat sex offenders is always an option and should be considered. i dont think there is such a thing as a one time offender so this option would work.
Trigger locks? You mean so it takes you an extra couple minutes to get your firearm out if you happen to need it? Oh, and ‘smart guns’, can only be fired by the owner (assuming it works, whole other story), strongly opposed by the state police for their own use. Tells me something.
years ago kids rode their bikes to school carrying a hunting rifle for target club…and somehow their were many fewer shootings. As for Columbine and VT, had some of those victims been familiar with firearms, they may have been able to determine when they had a chance to disarm them (like hearing an empty slide click). But its a gun free zone!
Personally I don’t see the connection between a sex shop (nice try on the ‘promoting reproduction’ jab!) and a firearms store.
Oh, one more thing…though shall not kill [the innocent].

so loren what is your suggestion on the gun issue? i am not totally on one side or the other… both have valid points… but just how innocent would i have been if i shot and killed my neighbor? what about the peeping tom pervert?
why we treat sex more strictly than guns is easy. The first settlers here were puritans. They were very strict in terms of sex. All of our taboos have a direct relation to their beliefs. They trickled down through the years, as did the idea of arming the population. At the time they came over, they had been kicked out of both france and england. They were persecuted for their beliefs and they knew they had to arm themselves.
Sorry for the history lesson.

If you defend yourself you WILL be sued and a dildo is just a pieace of rubber or plastic until you get the human involved just like guns its really not bad until you put in our hands and then society, religion , government ( pick one ) takes over your mind and you think what you are doing is OK
And again, this is why our laws are Judio/Christion based, because of our founding fathers, and their search ro religious freedom!!. It is the whole reason we are HERE in the first place. That is why I get a kick out of take down the ten commandments and such. That is wether you like it or not, how you have come to have the freedoms you have. You can’t go oward if you don’t know where you have been!!!!!!

rodneys right. rodneys always right. you really shouldn’t defend yourself because you’re going to end up getting sued. some thing like that happened in my school last year. some kid wasgetting punched in the stomach so he fough back and gave the kid a concussion who was punching him, the kid ended up getting sued, kicked out of school, and sent to juvee.
