Trailer storage fees.
The vanderhoffs were at one point paid to store the NJBMX trailer on their property.
Now from a business standpoint, ok, I’m using my place to keep something on my land, I deserve to get a stipend for it.
But from a “I love BMX and it’s for the kids standpoint”,
Hey, leave the trailer here, we’ll save money on storage fees and we can PUT THAT MONEY BACK IN THE STATE FOR THE RIDERS.
I’m sorry, this really bothered me when I found out about it.
Also, if this was the case, it should have been public knowledge due to seeing the accounting at every state meeting.
Things I hear like this, lead me into the land of thinking, “something shady is going on”.
I just want my freaking insane BMX mind put to ease.
And I want people who really love this thing being in charge of it, because when that happens, holy shit, this sport will EXPLODE.How much to store a trailer?
donate a spot, Tax right off?The trailer storage issue will only bother me if he was getting an inflated unrealistic amount. If it were just a plain black trailer, then there are plenty of cheap places to store it, but since it has all the NJBMX stuff all over it, you might as well paint a target on it.
That said, if the fee was reasonable and properly voted on and disclosed, then you look at it as a stipend for keeping it in good shape (I hope). I know it wasn’t used for awhile, but we still have it and are now using it again.
But if it was not disclosed properly then we have an issue and it makes your mind wander and you start to think the worse.
