clunking bottom bracket

dude– i’ve switched out everything but the bottom bracket– but every time i change something it seems better for a while, that’s why i never change it.

eastern bottom bracket (euro)
redline proline cranks
profile imperial sproket
drive pedals

on the drive side down stroke it clunks, can’t get rid of it for longer than like two weeks. kinda scares me when i’m ahmmering down.

any thaughts?

Make sure it is not cross threaded, and are you greasing the threads when you install it?

Use grease on threads of frame and wrap threads of bb with teflon tape and grease spindle and every bolt, make bb and all bolts tight!!!. You can check torque specs from company . May need new bearings in bb?? Note I find alloy arms that go on steel spindles to creak ..need to pull the arms every so often and relube

still lube everything american or not always had the a creekin in the old odyssey black widows

bring it to a GOOD shop how close are you to Stirling N,J

lubed and retightened everything– still making noise from time to time– i think the bottom bracket is wiped– i’ve heard bad things about the eastern bottom brackets from my local shop.

i have no idea where sterling is– but i think that i’m pretty far–
