i know we see everyone in the mx and skateboarding/freestyle scene on the rockstar bandwagon( drinking it during their post run interview) but are these sports in the olympic venue and such competing under the same anti doping rules as bmx or any other cycling event?

im sure the nbl has thought this one through but i just wanted to get some average folks thoughts on the sub.

for example..a yr or so ago when we first saw it in 7-11… my son bought a bottle so my nephew( about12- 13 at the time) drinks a bottle and thats all he is talking about all night…now this kid has no business drinking this stuff he is hyper enough…anyway everytine the kid sees a 7-11 he says he wants to go in and buy the crap..that is what i am talking about it gave him enough of a rush to want more of it.. and he is not even an athlete per se..

where the heck is the banner that chris moore made for the state a few years back?

what happens to this stuff??? it was a pic of nj and it had the 4 tracks on it..now mind you mullica is gone but whats wrong with that one?

this is what i am talking about… really makes me mad that a parent had to put out from his pocket to have one made? a state banner should be traveling with the state team manager who does the team sheets and hands out the jerseys…. just like the way it was done in the past.

i know most people will say well you do it then… if we went i would have hung it gladly it gives people a home base and place for new pres cup families to go for help..it can be especially confusing with parade lap and all that and the kids worked hard for the chance to go and represent… they deserve better for sure.

years ago somoene did hand the jerseys out before the trip and you are correct that causes too many complications like who forgot theirs, who didnt pay etc.. then they went to the system of handing them out at the race to make sure everyone that got one actually raced!

i think one year ahead of time they made announcements of team nj meeting later at such and such time ( i know its hectic to get a time thats good for everyone with practice sched so crazy) at the spot where the nj banner was posted( did we even have the banner up this yr? was there a nj section?) i think they had a 2 hr window to pick up the jerseys and maybe 1-2 kids who got there late picked theirs up the next day..back then they had over 70 riders from nj. i remember as this yr it was cotton jerseys and our first year going. i think linda luden did it if my memory serves me correctly. let me tell you those jerseys were picked up on time or there was hell to pay. i wouldnt want to have to do it the next day… haha parents ( for the little guys) and riders have to be responsible for something and stop whining. and back then we had parents state t-shirts to boot to hand out as well ( they matched the jerseys and were all paid for in advance) i had to fill in for her just checking off the list while she went back to her room for maybe an hr..believe me its a nightmare!!!

how did she do it alone? ORGANIZATION ahead of time and something like this is not easy to do esp dumped on someone the last minute.

there are some pics and some results on bmxunderground but mostly pros and such

i never did get a count on how many nj riders actually went? does anyone know or is there a list so mewhere? kind of like pullng teeth is it just me or is it a big secret?

people used to be pumped about this race big ti me all results chatting about who did what where and in what moto…this yr its like it never happened ( except for farside and co thank God some jersey folks went!!)

the aba had their grands results up right away i thought maybe with the nbls new website they would have gotten the results section up to speed as well??

yes it is confusing. i was told that the uci dosnt recognize super x only jr and elite men so i guess for those races they have to go one or the other…

any other jersey boys/ gals results?i cant seem to get onto the bmx mania site to get any results for some reason…? if anyone knows who all from jersey went please give them some props..thanks

the state usually designates a head person/ team manager for team nj someone who hands out the jerseys and/or also does the team sheets for the state/ presidents cup. when all the kids line up for the parade lap you can get a great picture of all the kids.

hopefully someone remembers to bring a camera its kind of a crazy rushed morning but good luck to all!!!

definitely have the state championship later after the grands for all the reasons loren has listed… it seems like a great idea to go back to the way it used to be…
