March 29, 2006 at 4:44 pm #29438CavemanMemberWould this be a bad time to tell a little diddy ’bout Dave and Diane?
Two American kids growing up in the heartland…..It would? Okay, I won’t say anything 😈
If we were really hardcore we’d go to Cedar afterwards! One time I raced a double header at Flemington and then raced Cedar just so I could say I raced three times in one day. In the main at Cedar, I came around the last turn and my legs SHUT DOWN. They said, “You’re ready to go home NOW, mister!”
Oh, for the good old days……
March 29, 2006 at 4:46 pm #29439RaidenHaydenMemberForget the Oxygen, we’d need a trauma unit after that LOL

March 30, 2006 at 1:17 am #29467CrazyCraigMemberCaveman – hows this for hard core:
Back in 1988 I raced a Mountain Bike race in the morning in Jefferson, NJ – and then went out to Cedar for a Triple Pointer.
It was my first MTB race – I sprinted out to the front (like an idiot) – about half way through we hit the biggest mountain in Morris County – and it felt like my left lung collapsed. I was toast. When I showed up at Cedar – I could not even practice – but somehow managed to pull a double in 17X and cruiser than day.
