Kiyomi Waller finished 4th on Sat and 1st on Sun on flats in the masters class. He was one of the only Vets hitting to Pro section.
Yea some guys win on flats,but not many can. Bottom line is I think you gotta use them. Maybe someday somebody will get it right and ban them. Get it back to the way it was.

So….I lace up and “clip in” for the first time. I tried to unclip and fell over, did a total barrel roll on the bottom of the hill heading up to staging.

That said – I am not clipping back in until I get WAAAY more comfortable with them – plus I need to cut the opening on the sole out more to allow me to unclip easier.
The quicksteps do rock .. i got a pair too craig a lill getting used to is all.. and btw these pedals feel like flats allll the way.. i mean they are my first pair of clips and i tried my brothers times… pfft if these clips felt like that i wouldnt wanna clip in either.. Just practice in the grass craig , one foot at a time lol … and today at the local i fell after the race jumped got crooked and then came down HARD ! when i got up … it was as if i was on flats.. i mean when i landed it just like came right off the bike no tangle no nothing… amazing.

got to go with the old odessey flats with crupi cages. i just sharpened them last week, lol
