Yes.
It costs money to have an event.
Flatlanders are more than capable of putting something together, but they lack the motivation to do it.
They are content with just riding, which is fine as well…

Maybe my point was not understoodI mean the state of the contests them sevles not the individual riders. not alot of local flat comps or jams going down get people to have and go to events, may change !!
