Matt had mentioned July 26 & 27 as the days he had wanted to run the qualifiers.

I had wanted to make the meeting but personal matters prevented me from showing.

    Dan,
That is the same weekend as the national in Bridgewater, NY and being so close I am sure there will be a lot of people heading up. If there is any way that someone can find out for sure what days they are going with I would appreciate it.

when do you normally put up the schedule for the year

Rod – if you are asking me, we have a tentative schedule we are working on but we can’t finalize it until we find out the dates for everyones State Qualifiers. Hopefully after the next meeting we will be able to get it posted.

You might also scare them off….. 😯

I am not saying they shouldn’t be involved, I just remember the first meeting I attended…..

no one ever said that should run another series. If the board gives it an ok as a series than just like th epro am parents would be able to volunteer to help organize it and run it. At the least we are looking to be able to have an open and thats it. i know they currently offer an open but no one ever knows about it.

You are right, the opens have always been there and people don’t use them. I would imagine it is because of the expense of having to pay for both class and open. But you are also looking at racing pretty much the same people you would race in class anyway.

If you decide to make this a series, come to the meeting prepared. Like Rich said, present it at the meeting and see what you can do. When we did the Pro/Am we had everything figured out before we presented it to the board.

rich the riders need to be there also along with the people who will run it. after all they are involved. —

    Anthony,
Rich and Jim are right, the State meetings are not the place for younger kids.

Anyone know how Gary Transue did?

If I remember correctly, he made the main on Saturday but not on Sunday. I don’t remember the finish though for Saturday. He races in the same class as my son and I was focusing on his finish.

Jeremy had a good weekend, after banging the gate on Saturday and getting 3rd he made up for it on Sunday by winning the 16X class. My youngest son Justin didn’t have as good of a weekend making it to his semi’s and just falling short of making it out.

I was told that Trilogy Pro Shop got first today in Team NBL. Not bad for their first national team sheet huh?

This is one that I am very proud of. We have a local team from the track and they not only beat out two of the top teams from last year on Saturday, but as of when we left on Sunday they were in first again.

…….is there a link directly off of the “new ” njbmxracing site? that would be cool. i didnt notice if there was one there last yr.

The Pro/Am was run in conjunction with the State Series, it was not part of the State Series. We kept track of all the points and money for the series.

In my opinion to put the link on the new website would have to be something that would have to brought up in the next meeting, being that it is not a State run series.
