Rich, I didn’t want to go there!!!! But, dude Craig you are as bad as a kid staying nov one more time so you can race another nat, step up, and show the young ones the RIGHT thing!!!! I mean your words in previos post sound just like those kids you hear in staging

Before I comment on this, I just KNEW something would be coming from Rich! I love it!! 😀

Bill, its tough. Dale comes over to me after the State Champ race and says I am right where I need to be since I am racing Nats and still working out the kinks. But who would of bet on me this weekend? Then Jess hits me with the whole better to get last in Ex than 1st in Novice. He said it with the right intention but then there is my son: he does not understand the moving up thing or Rook/Nov/Ex. But he knows what #1 means.

I have not sandbagged this entire year for anything, and even if I race the next two weekends and win, I’m still short of the 20 pts, not that it matters, and I have raced to win everytime. I know I tend to go out of my way to share my “story”, but this has been an extreme sucess story for me and in my heart the Regional #1 would close this chapter out nice. If I did win the main Sunday, I know I would feel different, but I didn’t.

You may agree or not, but I promise you this: I will not show up at the Presidents Cup as a Novice. 8)

    Craig,
I think everyone is just busting your chops. My personal belief is that you are doing the right thing because of this:
You are actually listening to everyone instead of just blowing it all off, almost like we’re all friends, lol!
You’ve set up a few goals for yourself and you’re making them and it is my personal belief that you’ll move up when you’ve accomplished them. I mean it is a pretty good judge of where you stand in that class when you go to the grands and make the main and are in the hunt for 1st…

You’re also sorta setting an example, you’ve come back, tested the waters, doing pretty good and will move up soon….
Everyone on this board KNOWS there are guys in the old mans class that will sandbag as a novice forever in hopes of getting a nat1 plate. Craig isn’t one of them.
Though…Rich’s post was pretty dang good….LOL
I look forward to next years old NJ X class…even if I’m getting my doors blown off every moto, because I know everytime we all line up on the gate next year, even though the goal is gonna be to cross the line first, the ultimate goal will be to make BMX bigger and better here in NJ.

dan broke his wrist in 2 spots ( possibly 3- hopefully not) at the last practice on thurs- then a couple of riders ran over him – in fact one of them also broke his wrist so they had 2 kids in his group “touching the gate”…we will see tomorrow when we see his orthopedic/ hand specialist.. i am hoping he was spared the fx of that tiny bone in the middle that dosnt heal for squat( i forget the name) anyway he is doing better spirit wise/ the dissapointment as usual is sometimes worse than the injury itself.he really liked the track this yr it was so fast and not too extreme for a change.

any of you older riders with a history of multiple crashes ever use a bone stimulator? someone mentioned it to me in the er they say it makes a fx heal faster??? usually they use it on bones that are hard to heal ( like this scaffoid bone or whatever its name is) will ask the doc tomorrow when we go. what do you do when a kid isnt ready to throw in the towel its not winter ya know… he is not ready to hang up the bike yet

thanks for the well wishes and congrats to everyone from jersey who rode hard in ky.

I hope everything is okay with Dan once you see the doc. No one likes an early winter.

CrazyCraig I think it is time for you to practice what you preach. You are always posting about no rookies at nationals and crying about sandbaggers. Set an example for the younger riders and do the right thing.

Craig that’s all I was saying too!!! We are the old school guys who want the turnouts that we used to have, using some of the old thoughts. But you are thinking new school get the title!!

I have never cried about sandbaggers in my class even though they are there (except in Jersey). Like Brett said, its about who is fastest on race day, and this past weekend I proved his theory for the most part. But, yeah, I have ripped career rookies and givin out titles to them.

My definition of a sandbagger is the guy who pulls perfects and then sits down in the main, etc. so he does not get move ups. 35 Nov obviously had them this year with one 850 and a bunch of close ones. Yet the Grands showed a few of them weren’t all that. Obviously my results are an indictment of myself and what everyone is saying here.

Rich, I love the sand bags, but for those who don’t know I did not get the N1 for 2006 (I got N13). Yes, I got the State 1 and maybe the 1w, but I am moving up y’all, don’t worry. I’m just waiting for Rich’s ribs to heal before I do so its a fair race! 😛

…and Rich said I’m not allowed on the gate with him until I get a front end alignment to keep my bike straight. Right, Rich?!
